The wall-mounted Handles made of olive wood – a material that symbolically serves as a sign of peace – suggest multiple possible openings and scope for action. The objects appear functional, yet are not permanently fixed and could be removed at any time. The handles prompt visitors to reflect on their own agency, which, however, can only be realised within the framework of self-determination and sovereignty.
