What If Venice Was Empty.

58th Biennale, Museo Correr, Venice, IT
Imagine Venice Empty is a continuity of the series Digital Natives. The focus of the work is the deleuzian term of virtuality, which we explored through human gestures and symbolisms. In the performance we constantly switched between the role of actual and virtual beings, for example through the transcendence of fake to real laughter, contrasting theoretical text elements with personal experiences and using the body as sculpture in the heavily connoted environment of the Museo Correr. The whole performance shows linear development from the symbolic destruction of the singular vitruvian man to humanoid hybrid sculptures of Martinas and my body.
